Secaucus Police Blotter, May 12 - May 18
A Passaic man was charged with DWI and cocaine possession after he hit another car on Meadowlands Parkway Saturday and fled, said police.

SECAUCUS, NJ — Released by Secaucus Police, all of last week's arrests:
At 6:39 p.m. this past Saturday, May 17, Secaucus Police were told by a man that his car was struck by another motor vehicle while driving on Meadowlands Parkway. The involved vehicle fled the area after the crash. At 8:13 p.m. on that same date, police were notified of a stopped motor vehicle in the area of Flanagan Way and 6th Street where the operator of the vehicle appeared to be asleep. That car was the same as in the hit-and-run crash, said police. Police arrested Alexis Martinez, 29, of Passaic and charged him with Driving While Intoxicated [39:4-50], Resisting Arrest [2C:29-2A(1)], Aggravated Assault [2C:12-1B(5)] and Possession of CDS believed to be Cocaine [2C:35-10A(1)]. Martinez was issued his complaint summons along with five motor vehicle summonses and was released into the custody of a responsible adult.
At 5:52 p.m. this past Sunday, May 18, Secaucus Police responded to Walmart on a report of a shoplifting. Police arrested a 62-year-old man from Newark and charged him with Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(2)]. He was also found to have one outstanding warrant issued out of Woodbridge, NJ in the amount of $2,500 and one outstanding warrant issued out of Secaucus in the amount of $750. He was issued his complaint warrant and was transported to the Hudson County jail.

These charges are merely accusations and the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
