At 2:27 p.m. on May 20, in furtherance of an investigation conducted by the Secaucus Police Department in relation to a shoplifting incident that occurred at Sam’s Club on May 9, police arrested a 37-year-old male, David Suarez of Bergenfield, NJ and charged him with Theft by Deception [2C:20-4]. Suarez was an employee of the Secaucus Sam's Club. Police say he was altering the prices of tires being sold at Sam's Club. He would have customers Zelle him money in exchange for selling the tires at a lower price. It was Sam's Club that initially called Secaucus Police on May 9 to report he was allegedly doing this. Suarez was arrested May 20 at Secaucus Police headquarters, was issued his complaint summons and was released from police custody.

On 05/21/2024 at 1:32 AM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 42-year-old male, Americo Mazariego of Easton, PA for Driving While Intoxicated [39:4-50]. Mr. Mazariego was issued his motor vehicle summons for Driving While Intoxicated along with an additional 3 motor vehicle summonses and he was released into the custody of a responsible adult.

On 05/21/2024 at 1:17 PM, Secaucus Police were advised of a theft of a package that occurred at UPS located at 493 County Avenue. During the investigation, on the same date at 8:29 PM, police arrested a 52-year-old male, Joseph Winston of Jersey City, NJ for Theft [2C:20-3A] and Unlawful Possession of a Handgun [2C:39-5B(1)]. Mr. Winston was taken into custody at UPS. Mr. Winston was issued his complaint warrant and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail. The Sig 9mm Handgun was later recovered by detectives.

On 05/22/2024 at 6:37 PM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 28-year-old male, Alex Cedeno-Heras of Kearny, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Secaucus, NJ in the amount of $750.00. Mr. Cedeno-Heras was able to post bail for the involved warrant, was issued 1 motor vehicle summons and he was released from police custody.

On 05/22/2024 at 7:37 PM, Secaucus Police responded to Farm Road on a report from another police agency that an individual was residing at the location who had an outstanding warrant. During the investigation, the police arrested a 39-year-old male, Odalis Bido of Secaucus, NJ for 1 outstanding NCIC warrant issued out of Pinellas County Florida with no bail. Mr. Bido was also charged with Being a Fugitive from Justice [2A:160-10]. Mr. Bido was issued his complaint warrant and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On 05/23/2024 at 9:25 PM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 26-year-old male, Sekou Touray of Irvington, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Clifton, NJ in the amount of $1,500. Clifton PD released Mr. Touray on his own recognizance pending a future court date. He was issued 1 motor vehicle summons and was released from police custody.

On 05/24/2024 at 12:33 AM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 31-year-old male, Jean Rojas Tiamo of New York, NY for Exhibiting a Fraudulent Insurance Card [2C:21-2.3(B)]. Mr. Rojas Tiamo was issued his complaint summons along with three motor vehicle summonses and was released from police custody.

These charges are merely accusations and the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
