23-Year-Old Killed In South Brunswick Crash: Police

The man died at the scene of the overnight crash, according to police.

SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ — A 23-year-old man was killed in an overnight crash in South Brunswick, according to police.

The incident was reported shortly before 1 a.m. Sunday on southbound Route 1 near New Road, police said. The man, a South Brunswick resident, was driving a 2012 Honda Accord south in the left lane when he lost control, sliding sideways across the road and hitting a utility, witnesses told police. The victim died at the scene, according to police.

Local, county and state authorities responded to the crash and southbound Route 1 was closed for several hours, police said. Anyone who saw the crash is asked to call police at 732-329-4648.
