Cloudy Skies, SBHS Hosts State Playoffs Friday

What's up in South Brunswick today.

Tonight's weather for the South Brunswick High School football playoff game doesn't look to be pleasant as we head into the weekend.

Evening showers are expected as the Vikings host a semi-final matchup in defense of their Group 5 State Championship. Here's what else is going on in town today.

1. Today's forecast calls for cloudy skies early in the day bringing a few showers to the area later in the day. The high for Friday is 54 degrees with a 30 percent chance of rain. Overnight the temperature will drop to the low 40's.

2. Come out to support the Vikings tonight as Hunterdon Central comes to town to decide who will advance to the finals of the Group 5 playoffs. The Vikings advanced to the semis by crushing Trenton last week by a score of 28-8 in the opening round of the NJSIAA/Atlantic Health Central Jersey Group 5 playoffs. The winner of tonight's game will face the winner of Sayreville and Manalapan. Action will kickoff at 7 p.m. at SBHS, located at 750 Ridge Road in Monmouth Junction.
