Fire Department Mourns Death Of Life Member In South Brunswick
Charles "Chuck" Weber, Jr., was a member of the fire department for over 50 years. He served as President from 1989 to 1992.
SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ — The Monmouth Junction Fire Department is mourning the death of life member Charles "Chuck" Weber, Jr., who died Oct. 13. He was 62.
Weber was a member of the fire department for over 50 years. He served as President from 1989 to 1992. He also served as treasurer and was on the fire district committee.
“The Weber family has a proud history of membership in our Department,” the fire department said in a Facebook post. “Charles Jr.'s brother, Donald, is an active life member with 46 years of service and counting, and Don's and Chuck Jr.'s father, Charles Sr., served as Chief of Department from 1965 to 1967.”

Born in New Brunswick, Weber was a lifelong resident of South Brunswick. He graduated from Rutgers University in 1972 with a bachelor's degree in business, according to his obituary posted on M.J. Murphy Funeral Home.
Weber worked as a security technician. “Chuck enjoyed dancing, music, Pennsylvania Railroad HO Trains, and Indy and Nascar Racing,” according to this obituary. “He was a pitman in Englishtown for sprint cars. He loved his dogs Button, Zipper, Mason, Dixon, and Jackson.”

Weber is survived by his wife Debra Elliott Weber; son Christopher (Jordana) Weber; brother Donald (Ellen) Weber; and niece Victoria.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, from 6 p.m. - 9 p.m. at M.J. Murphy Funeral Home.
