Graduation Honors for South Brunswick Students

Local graduates from the University of Rhode Island, James Madison University, and University of the Sciences.

University of the Sciences

The following local residents graduated from University of the Sciences. USciences recognized graduates during a ceremony on Wednesday, May 22, 2013, as part of the University's 192nd Commencement celebration in Philadelphia, Pa.

Dhaval B. Patel of Dayton, NJ (08810), graduated with a doctor of pharmacy degree . He was the hypertension patient care coordinator from September 2008 to May 2009 and the public relations chair of the American Pharmacists Association from September 2010 to May 2011, as well as a sixth-year liaison of the Drug Information Association from August 2012 to May 2013. He is the son of Bhupesh and Nirupama Patel.

Nishita Kishor Shah of Monmouth Junction, NJ (08852), graduated with a doctor of pharmacy degree . She was a member of Rho Chi and Phi Lambda Sigma honor societies. She was a teacher's assistant for the Chemistry/Biochemistry Department, events coordinator for the Expressions of Philadelphia's Indian Culture (EPIC), a class representative for the Student Excellence in Professional Preparation (StEPP) Committee, and iLead Scholar. She received The Monmouth County Society of Pharmacists Memorial Graduation Award. She is the daughter of Kishor and Harsha Shah.

At the University of Rhode Island's 127th Commencement on Saturday and Sunday, May 18-19, 2013, more than 3,200 undergraduate and 770 graduate students became the University's newest alumni.

The following residents were among the students who received their undergraduate or graduate degrees. Note that many students have received multiple degrees:

Dana Speesler of Kendall Park, NJ received a BS in Sociology with a Minor in Animal & Veterinary Science and a Minor in Latin

Samantha Chinsky of Monmouth Junction, NJ received a BA in Art History a BA in Public Relations

Megan J. Schmid of Kendall Park, NJ received a BA in Sociology
