Enjoy the jazz music of vocalist Carrie Jackson in a live Friends Concert Series presentation during the Annual Open House on Saturday, Dec. 1 at 2 p.m. at the South Brunswick Public Library, 110 Kingston Lane in Monmouth Junction.
Carrie Jackson, vocalist, educator and producer, is a New York based recording artist who will bring to life some of America's great jazz history at the Library on Saturday. Carrie has performed at top jazz venues in the metropolitan area and toured across the United States and abroad.
Carrie’s vocal style is inspired by the likes of jazz greats: Sarah "Sassy" Vaughan, Ella Fitzgerald, Nancy Wilson, Billie Holiday, Dinah Washington, and Carmen Mc Rae. Her singing style includes swing, scat, classic jazz standards with sweet soul, the blues, ballads, Gospel, Latin syncopated beats, and even a little funk and R&B.

Carrie has performed throughout the United States and abroad. She has performed as an actress and dancer for shows including “‘Ain’t Misbehavin’” and Nunsense, and performed for live radio and television.
There will be a variety of presentations and activities taking place for all ages during the Open House throughout the day.
