Middlesex Co. Sheriff Is Offering Free Spring Car Seat Safety Clinic

MIDDLESEX COUNTY, NJ - Is your child’s car seat installed correctly? If you're not sure, here is your chance to get it checked.

The Middlesex County Sheriff’s Office is offering several free Car Seat Safety Clinics this spring. Certified child passenger safety technicians will inspect car seats and demonstrate how to install them properly, provide hands-on education on the proper use of car seats and boosters, and share valuable information about child passenger safety laws and guidelines.

These clinics will take place in South Brunswick, Piscataway, Monroe and Perth Amboy. No appointment is required; walk-ins are welcome.

Here are the dates and venues:

March Car Seat Inspection Dates at Piscataway YMCA:

• Saturday, March 1: 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.
• Wednesday, March 12: 3:30 p.m.– 7:30 p.m.
• Wednesday, March 19: 3:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.
• Saturday, March 29: 9 .m. – 1 p.m.

April Car Seat Inspection Dates at Monroe Community Center:

• Saturday, April 5: 9 a.m.–1:00 p.m.
• Wednesday, April 9: 3:30 p.m.–7:30 p.m.
• Wednesday, April 16: 3:30p.m.–7:30p.m.
• Saturday, April 26: 9:00 a.m.–1 p.m.

May Car Seat Inspection Dates at South Brunswick High School:

• Saturday, May 3: 9 a.m.–1:00 p.m.
• Wednesday, May 7: 3:30 p.m.–7:30 p.m.
• Wednesday, May 14: 3:30 p.m.–7:30 p.m.
• Saturday, May 17: 9:00 a.m. – 1 p.m.

June Car Seat Inspection Dates at Perth Amboy YMCA:

• Saturday, June 7: 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.
• Wednesday, June 11: 3:30 p.m.–7:30 p.m.
• Wednesday, June 18: 3:30 p.m.–7:30 p.m.
• Saturday, June 28: 9 a.m.– 1 p.m.
