Monmouth Junction Man Claims Powerball Jackpot
Mario Scarnici will take home about $62 million from the Powerball drawing.

With no fanfare, a Monmouth Junction man flew under the radar to grab his winnings from this month's huge $411 million Powerball drawing.
Township resident Mario Scarnici was revealed as the third and final winner from the multi-million dollar jackpot, according to the New Jersey Lottery. Scarnici's hare of the pool is about $62 million with the jackpot divided among the three winning tickets and after taxes, state lottery officials said.
Scarnici purchased his ticket from the Stop & Shop on Route 522 and Summerfield Boulevard in South Brunswick. The other winning tickets were sold to 16 Ocean County vehicle maintenance employees from Little Egg Harbor, and another in Minnesota.
The last time two jackpot-winning tickets were sold in one state for the same draw was in 1993 in Washington, D.C., according to lottery officials.
