SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ – The South Brunswick School District on Thursday announced they have appointed a new Interim superintendent for the school district.

David Pawlowski, Assistant Superintendent for Business and Board Secretary, will step into to Scott Feder’s shoes until a full-time appointment is made.

On May 1, Feder announced his retirement after serving the school district for a total of 14 years, with eight years as superintendent.

“We did come up with a candidate, someone that we trust, somebody that we work with, somebody that's going to take the ball and run with it in this next four or five months until we get our full time superintendent,” BOE president Laura Hernandez said.

Pawlowski will be working on his new role as well as overseeing the tasks in the business office.

In his statement to the community, Pawlowski said he was humbled by the opportunity.

“Over the past eight years, I have learned so much from Scott and biggest shoes to fill, and I'll do my best. But I'm truly a servant to everybody here in the district - students, staff, board members,” Pawlowski said.

“I'm working for all of you for the next five months, and just want to make sure that everybody's very aware that without my staff in the business office, and without the amazing staff here it would not be possible for anyone to manage two positions. I'm looking forward to working with everybody. So thank you very much.”
