South Brunswick Fire Departments To Host 100th Anniversary Events
Dozens of emergency vehicles will participate in a motorcade on July 27, to celebrate the milestone.
SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ - The Kingston Volunteer Fire Company and Monmouth Junction Volunteer Fire Department are celebrating their 100th anniversary this year. In recognition of the milestone, a motorcade around the township will be held on Saturday, July 27.
Dozens of emergency vehicles are anticipated to participate in the motorcade, which will start at 11:30 a.m. from Campus Drive off Route 1 South, Fire Chief Scott Smith said.
The route will proceed southbound on Route 1, making a right onto Ridge Road, bearing right onto Heathcote Road, right onto Route 27, then right onto Promenade Blvd.

The motorcade will cross over Route 1 onto Route 522, then go right on to Stouts Lane, left onto Ridge Road, right onto Route 522, left onto Kingston Lane, right onto Georges Road, right onto Culver Road, right onto Friendship Road, left onto Broadway Road, terminating in Rowland Park.
The Fire Departments will be holding a private event at Rowland Park.

Smith has requested residents to come out and wave to the first responders as they participate in the motorcade, which will be held rain or shine.
Both Fire Departments will be hosting public celebrations of their 100th anniversaries during Fire Prevention Week in October.
The Kingston Volunteer Fire Company will host an open house on Saturday, Oct. 5, from 12 to 4 p.m. at their station at 8 Heathcote Road, Kingston.
The Monmouth Junction Volunteer Fire Department will host an open house on Sunday, October 6th from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at their station at 573 Ridge Road, Monmouth Junction.
Both open houses will feature fire safety displays, equipment demonstrations by firefighters, food and drinks, and lots more.
