South Brunswick Police Take The Polar Bear Plunge For Special Olympics

Officers raised $15,000 for the Special Olympics, which is second highest in the state.

SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ - Last Saturday, several officers from the South Brunswick Police Department headed to Seaside Heights. There they braved cold temperatures and frigid waters to participate in the annual Polar Bear Plunge.

The event, which benefits the Special Olympics, was attended by 17 members of the police department.

Every year, thousands of brave residents take an icy dip into the Atlantic Ocean to help raise funds for the Special Olympics.

In total, the South Brunswick Police Department raised $15,000 for the Special Olympics, which is 2nd in the state amongst law enforcement teams.
