South Brunswick Residents Experience Power Outage As Middlesex County Braces For Flooding
Up to two inches have already fallen in some areas, with another inch or two expected, National Weather Service says.

The Nor’easter that continues to pound the Jersey Coast has already dumped two and a half inches in some areas of Middlesex County and another one to two inches is expected by the end of the day, according to the National Weather Service.

“These rains will likely produce minor flooding of roadways into the afternoon,” the NWS said in a recent alert. “For locales right along the coast, higher than normal tides will also affect how the rainfall drains.”
More than two inches of rain have fallen throughout all of Middlesex County, according to the NWS.

The Sayreville Police Department released an alert, warning residents of standing water on Bordentown Avenue near the East Brunswick border, as well as Lower Main Street/Old Route 4. Drivers are advised to use caution.
The South Brunswick Police Department reported a brief power outage on Tuesday morning in the Dayton area. Power was restored, but the cause is under investigation.
The NWS has also issued a high wind warning until 4 p.m. today. Winds are north to northeast at 20 to 30 miles per hour,with gusts up to 50 to 55 miles per hour.
The strongest winds will occur between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., according to the National Weather Service.
