South Brunswick Schools Appoints New Athletic Director

The new appointment comes after the resignation of CJ Hendricks.

SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ – The South Brunswick Board of Education recently approved the appointment of a new athletic director for the school district.

Edward Knapp has been appointed to the role after the resignation of CJ Hendricks.

Knapp comes to the school district after being the athletic director for Lakewood Township School District.

During the BOE meeting held last week, Superintendent Scott Feder recommended Knapp for the position, highlighting his extensive experience in coaching and his current role in Lakewood School District.

“This is one really, really chill guy that knows the business well, coached tons of sports. Great guy, went through the process, and we're excited,” Feder said.

After his appointment was finalized, Knapp thanked the board for the opportunity and expresses optimism about supporting the students, staff, coaches, and athletes of South Brunswick.

“I'd like to thank all of you for having me this opportunity. It's a tremendous one, and I pledge you all to do the best I can to continue to support the students, the staff, the coaches and the athletes of South Brunswick,” Knapp said.

The district has hired Knapp for a salary of $137,000 and his term date is June 30, 2026.
