Callanetics is a new exercise program starting at the Sand Hills Community Wellness Center on Monday mornings on Sept. 9. Certified Callanetics instructor and Kendall Park resident Jennifer Manson will offer a free, introductory class on Aug. 26 from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Callanetics is a unique, non-impact body-sculpting/body-toning, and posture-aligning exercise program.

Welcome Night and Open House, New School for Music Study Route 4543 New Jersey 27 Kingston, 4 p.m.
The New School For Music Study announces its first Annual Open House and Welcome Night. The event will be held on from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. At 6 p.m., members of the faculty, will be presenting a short recital, entitled, “Meet the Piano.” Various moods and emotions will be explored through listening to the range of sounds the pianist is able to create. There will be beautiful musical examples, an opportunity to ask questions, and an added visual demonstration. The “Meet the Piano” recital will be geared toward piano beginners but all are welcome. Students, faculty, and administrative staff will be on hand to welcome returning NSMS students, friends, and guests from the general public. Information on lessons and classes, for all ages and levels, including early childhood and adult programs, will be available at Welcome Night.
