Warehouse Could Be Coming To Amato’s Garden Center In South Brunswick

The developers are seeking preliminary site plan approval with bulk variance.

SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ — Amato's Garden Center, a popular fixture in South Brunswick, could be replaced by a warehouse.

Forsgate Venture XV, LLC has filed an application with the township’s Planning Board to build an 80,000-square-foot warehouse on a 6.37-acre lot. This includes 3,460 square feet of office space.

The developers are seeking preliminary site plan approval with bulk variance.

The property is located in the LI-2 zone and hence building of a warehouse is permitted. It is currently owned by Peter and Jo Ann Amato.

The planning board is scheduled to hear the application on Wednesday, Aug. 14 at 7 p.m.
