Salvete!
If you answered "Bless you!" maybe it's time to send an elementary school kid you know to FLES, Foreign Language for Elementary Schools. The program is an after-school opportunity for students in grades 3,4, and 5 to be introduced by high school student-instructors.
Students can choose French, Italian or Latin, and will be taught by Columbia High School students at the CHS library on Weds., from 3:45 - 4:30 p.m., from October 12 to March 28. The cost is $65, with fee waivers available for those who need assistance.

During the class periods, students are placed into small groups to practice basic language skills through oral drilles, games and projects. High school students instruct, and are supervised by district world language teachers.
