Funeral Services Scheduled for Longtime Resident

Jeanne Marie Ahrens, 50, of South Orange, NJ, passed away suddenly on Sunday, Oct 2, 2011, surrounded by her loving family.

Beloved daughter of Carolyn J. Ahrens (Casano) and the late Robert H. Ahrens, jr.  Devoted sister of Bobby Ahrens, wife Michele of West Orange, Maureen Scheper and Jim Powell of Verona, Sue Bongo and husband John of South Orange, Dorothy Schaub of Sunrise, FL and the late Douglas Ahrens of South Orange.  Loving Aunt of 13 nieces and nephews.

Many lives were touched by Jeanne's love and compassion.  Her love for family, friends, children and animals were so very special to her.  She always saw the beauty in all and inspired others with her inspirational touches. She received her BA from Kean University and her masters from MSU.  She had multiple certifications in drug and alcohol counseling.

Funeral Mass will be held Friday, at 10:30 am at Our Lady of the Valley Church, 518 Valley St, Orange, NJ.  Interment to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover.  Visiting hours Wed., 7-9 pm, Thurs. 2-4, & 7-9 pm at the Farmer Funeral Home, 45 Roseland Ave., Roseland.
