Junior League Guests of the Oranges and Short Hills Donned Their "LBDs"

Little Black Dress, a ladies night out organized by the (JLOSH), was a mix of fun, fashion and fundraising to support JLOSH’s community programs.

300 women, many of whom were not JLOSH members but friends, guests, sponsors and prospective members, enjoyed an evening of music, hors d'oeuvres, a luxury tricky tray auction, a big-win raffle and a fashion show on Friday, March 2, 2012 at the Hilton Short Hills. Together with generous support from corporate sponsors, local retailers, and community members, the funds raised by JLOSH’s Little Black Dress event raised over $20,000, which will support the Junior League’s charitable programs aiding women and children in need.

“We truly appreciate everyone who supported this fundraiser and made it a success, whether they attended the event or made a donation,” said JLOSH President Kat Eklund. “Next year marks the 100^th anniversary of JLOSH. For nearly a century, the women volunteers in our organization have tackled critical needs in our community. By supporting us, we can continue our tradition of developing the potential of women and improving the lives of women and children in our community.”

Every year, JLOSH members work together to tackle critical needs of women and children in the communities of East Orange, Orange, South Orange, West Orange, Livingston, Maplewood, Millburn, Short Hills and Springfield.
