SPRINGFIELD, NJ -- The Springfield Recreation Department helped kick off the <a href="https://www.tapinto.net/towns/springfield/articles/springfield-recreation-department-rang-in-the-hol" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">holiday season</a> Wednesday night. According to TAPinto.net there was a tree lighting, a petting zoo and horse drawn carriage rides. Santa even took the time out of his busy schedule and stopped by to hear the Christmas wishes of the children. Donations of non-perishable food, toys and coats were also collected by Holy Cross Lutheran church and Springfield H.O.P.E.
