Calvary Episcopal Church Members Walk in Autism Event

Calvary Episcopal Church in Summit participated in the North/Central NJ "Walk Now for Autism Speaks" on Sunday, October 21 in Cranford NJ.  Twenty one members of Calvary Church, including its Rector, Rev. Matthew Corkern and its Associate Rector, Rev. Diana Doyle Clark, walked together for two miles around Nomahegan Park in Cranford on one of the most beautiful fall days in recent memory. 

Through Calvary Church's outreach efforts, the Calvary All Soles raised over $2,800 for Autism Speaks and helped raise awareness of Autism in Summit and surrounding communities.    

Walk Now for Autism Speaks is Autism Speaks' signature fundraising and awareness event.  Walks take place every year in communities across the United States and Canada helping raise dollars necessary to support Autism research; to raise public awareness of Autism and its effects on individuals, families and society; and to help bring hope to those who deal with the daily hardships of the disorder. Autism Speaks estimated that 4,500 walkers attended the North/Central NJ Walk last Sunday.
