Danny Meyers Withdraws From Summit Council Race

Summit At-Large Common Council candidate Danny Meyers has pulled out of the Nov. 5 race, according to a release from the Democratic Committee.

Citing an increase in "business and personal commitments," Meyers withdrew from the race Wednesday.

The Democratic candidate was running against incumbent Greg Drummond.

"It is a huge commitment of time and effort for any member of the community to campaign for Council and then, of course, to serve,"  said Committee Chair Terri Tauber. "We appreciate anybody who steps up to take on this challenge, and we respect his decision to withdraw at this time."
