Who's On The Summit Ballot And Where To Vote
Here's what you need to know about voting in the 2022 General Election if you live in Summit.

SUMMIT, NJ — The 2022 General Election is quickly approaching, and it is important Westfield residents know who is on the ballot and how they can vote this year.
Here is a guide for Summit voters, including polling locations, how to vote early or by mail and what candidates you can expect to see on the ballot this year:
The Ballot
Incumbents Danny O'Sullivan and Lisa Allen are running to keep their respective Ward 1 and Ward 2 seats on the Summit Common Council this year.

Republican write-in candidate Delia Hamlet is running against Democrat O'Sullivan for the Ward 1 seat.

There is no Board of Education election this November, as two members were elected by the mayor this past May.
Summit voters will also get to vote for a member of the U.S. House of Representatives. In the 7th Congressional District, current Democratic Rep. Tom Malinowski is running against Republican Tom Kean Jr.
Residents will also get to vote on three members for the Union County Board of County Commissioners. You can check out a sample ballot here.
How To Vote
There are several ways you can vote this year:
Vote By Mail
The deadline to apply by mail for a mail-in ballot is Tuesday, Nov. 1. The deadline to apply in-person at the Elizabeth and Westfield County Clerk Offices for a mail-in ballot is Monday, Nov. 7 at 3:00 PM. Mail-in ballots can be returned in person or by mail to the Union County Board of Elections office, or at the secure ballot drop box located at the County Clerk’s Office at 300 North Avenue.
Early In-Person Voting
Union County residents have the option to vote early at specified locations throughout the county beginning on Saturday, Oct. 29, through Sunday, Nov. 6. Locations, dates, and times for early voting are available on the Union County Board of Elections website.
In-Person Voting on Election Day
The General Election will be held on Tuesday, November 8. Polls will be open from 6:00 AM to 8:00 PM. A list of Summit polling locations, based on ward and districts, can be found on Summit's website.
