Free Holiday Parking Throughout Summit: See Where

SUMMIT, NJ — The City is giving residents early gifts this season in the form of free parking at a number of garages and lots.

Starting Saturday and through Dec. 31, there will be no fees to park at 90-minute street locations, the Bank Street Lot, and the ground level of the Tier Garage. The Tier Garage time is limited to two hours for free.

The City said time limits at all areas will still be "strictly enforced."

The Park and Shop lots on Deforest Avenue, the YMCA/Library lot, and all long-term areas that require resident or employee permits will still be under their fee structure.

Street parking at spots that are marked for 15-minute, 30-minute, three-hour, five-hour, and 12-hour periods are not included in the free parking.

Dec. 25 and Dec. 26 are official parking holidays, meaning no fees will be collected at any municipal lots, garages, or on-street locations. New Years Day and the following day will also operate under parking holiday conditions.
