Summit Council To Recognize Members, Hear Mayor's Address: See When
Three councilmembers are retiring.
SUMMIT, NJ — The City of Summit will hold its 2026 Organization Meeting on January 6, 2026 and swear in the new members of Council.
The meeting will begin at 7:30 p.m. at City Hall (512 Springfield Ave.). The public is invited to attend a welcome reception at 7 p.m. in the main lobby outside Council Chamber.

During the Organization Meeting, Mayor Elizabeth Fagan will give her State of the City Address. Leaders will also honor retiring councilmembers Delia Hamlet, Mike McTernan, and Kevin Smallwood.

Ward 1 Councilmember-elect Jaclyn Lasaracina, Ward 2 Councilmember-elect Chantal Landman, and Councilmember-at-Large-elect Dan Crisafulli will assume their seats after being sworn in.
Appointments for city boards, commissions, and committees will also be shared.
The broadcast will be available on the City's YouTube channel, HTTV Comcast channel 36, and channel 33 for Verizon customers.
