Women from the community are invited to attend this event to get a proper fitting for a sports bra, enjoy wine and snacks and mingle with other women.

Eight out of 10 women are wearing the wrong sized bra, according to Moving Comfort. That's why Summit Running Company and Get in Shape for Women are teaming up to host a FitFest Thursday at 7:30 p.m. in Summit.

Women from the community are invited to attend to get a proper fitting for a sports bra, enjoy wine and snacks, mingle with other women and get a 15 percent discount off anything at Summit Running Company.

Susan Yarad, a customer of both businesses, said she saw the possibility to link the two with an event and suggested it.

“I told Jacob, the manager of the Running Company, about Get in Shape for Women and suggested some kind of event or discount,” Yarad said. “Several women at GISFW had complimented my new running shoes and I told them to go to the Summit Running Company. Jacob came up with the idea of having a Moving Comfort representative, which specializes in sports bras for women, at the event and Gibbs, the manager of Get in Shape for Women, billed it as a FitFest.”

Yarad said the event will be informal and women can speak with the Moving Comfort representative to get fitted during the event.

“Anyone is welcome on Thursday night,” Yarad said. “Additionally, The Running Company staff are great at gait analysis and will be happy to assist with shoe selection. It's meant just to be a fun girls' night where you can get a discount, meet other women in the community and have the opportunity to get fitted by an expert.”
