Hot Summer Nights Concert Series Concludes In Summit
Plus, the Summit Library is hosting two events for children and the Jersey Cares Annual School Supply Drive kicks off.

Here's what you need to know today:
The “Hot Summer Nights Concert Series” concludes tonight with “Total Soul,” a Motown and R&B band. Sponsored by Summit’s Department of Community Programs, the concert begins at 7 p.m. on the Village Green, located across from the Summit Area YMCA. Check out our coverage of the first concert in the series, the “Summit to the Shore” concert to raise money for the Sandy Ground Project, featuring Parrotbeach.
Summit Free Public Library will host “Digging into the Past with Dr. G” from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. Children can explore ancient world history with crafts, demonstrations and writing activities.

Children can join the “Diggers and Gardeners Club” at the Summit Free Public Library. The club will meet from 11 to 11:30 a.m. Children who attend can join in for songs and stories about dinosaurs, plants and digging in the dirt. The library is located at 75 Maple St. in Summit.
The Jersey Cares Annual School Supply Drive, which collects much needed school supplies for numerous New Jersey children, begins today and will run through Aug. 30. If your Summit office, club or group would like to host a drive, you can fill out an online collection site registration form.
