New Bubble Tea Place Opens Up In Downtown Summit

SUMMIT, NJ — Summit locals can now get their fix of bubble tea and other refreshing beverages at Kung Fu Tea — a recent addition to downtown.

The new boba shop in Summit, which opened its doors just a few weeks ago, joins several other Kung Fu Tea locations in the local area. This includes locations in Millburn, Union, Montclair, Wayne, Hoboken and Edison.

Located on 88 Summit Avenue, Kung Fu Tea offers a variety of milk teas, fruity punch teas, slushies, coffees and more. The store also offers gluten free, dairy free, vegan and caffeine free options for those who have dietary restrictions.

A unique offering at the boba shop is "milk cap" tea, which features a thick layer of a "salty milk cap" on top of the drink. Popular flavors with the milk cap include Cocoa Cream Wow, Honey Tea Cap and Winter Melon Tea Cup.

For those looking for a caffeine boost, Kung Fu Tea sells a variety of espresso drinks, including a caramel macchiato, mocha, latte and a cappuccino. These drinks can be ordered iced or hot.

The franchise was first founded in Queens, New York in 2010 and had more than 350 locations across the United States, according to its website.

Kung Fu Tea is the first bubble tea place to open in Summit.
