New Workout Studio Opens In Summit: Welcome StretchLab
Feeling tight? Muscle soreness? This new studio in downtown Summit offers customized stretch routines for people experiencing pain.

SUMMIT, NJ — Summit locals can now loosen up their muscles and eliminate tightness with a new studio that has recently opened downtown — StretchLab.
StretchLab, a gym and physical fitness center that is one of the nation's newest health-related franchises, opened in Summit on May 10. The store is located at 412 Springfield Avenue and is now welcoming customers.
Dave Weaving, a Chatham resident and former senior executive at Fortune 500 Realogy, is the franchise owner. According to Downtown Summit Inc., Weaving's first StretchLab location in Livingston has been open since 2019 and his Morristown location opened in early 2020.

StretchLab focuses on one-on-one stretching and identifies tightness and imbalances in the body. According to their website, clients often come in with pain, tightness or specific areas, and StretchLab helps customize a stretch routine that is specific to the client's needs.
The Summit location features eight stretching tables where clients work through a highly customized stretching routine in sessions that last 25 to 50 minutes.

Each "Flexologist" Weaving employs has completed at least 60 hours of training that includes theory and hands on work, along with learning about the muscular system, the benefits of particular stretches and how to create a custom approach to meet a client’s individual needs and concerns, according to Downtown Summit.
