Summit Library To Host Lunchtime Picnic For Kids

Here’s what you need to know today:

Summit Public Library is hosting a “Picnic with the Librarian” event from 12 to 12:30 p.m. Children can bring a blanket and lunch, and sit with Mrs. Wheeless for this lunchtime story time on the Village Green. No registration is required. Visit the library’s website for more information.

Summit’s Municipal Court will convene from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in City Hall’s Council Chamber. The public defended meets on the third Wednesday of each month, except Aug. 28 and Nov. 27.

The Jersey Cares Annual School Supply Drive, which collects much needed school supplies for numerous New Jersey children, will run through Aug. 30.
