Summit Mommies 24/7 Hosts 'Art In The Park' Tuesday

Here's a look at what's happening in Summit today.

Summit’s “National Night Out” will take place on the Village Green from 6 to 9 p.m. There will be activities, games, food vendors and demonstrations by local and national emergency services agencies throughout the night. There will also be a “Dunk-a-Cop” tank, which will benefit Brooke Healey, a 4-year-old New Providence girl battling an inoperable brain tumor. Summit Mommies 24/7 will host "Art in the Park" beginning at 9:30 a.m. This free event will take place in Mabie Memorial Park, located at 30 Summit Ave. in Summit. Attendees will be able to make sparkly sensory bottles. For more information about Summit Mommies 24/7, go to http://summit.mommies247.com/ 

The Jersey Cares Annual School Supply Drive, which collects much needed school supplies for numerous New Jersey children, will run through Aug. 30. If your Summit office, club or group would like to host a drive, you can fill out an online collection site registration form.
