Summit's New Sauna Brings Different Approach To Relaxation

SUMMIT, NJ — A new take on a traditional sauna opened on Oct. 15 in Summit.

"Your luxury wellness escape," as Drip Sauna & Plunge Studio calls itself, welcomes guests with a different approach to relaxation. Infrared saunas, a dry cold plunge, and Shiftwave therapies to regulate the nervous system are all available for both call-ahead and walk-in guests.

The dry cold plunge, according to Drip, is the first and only cryo dry float therapy bed. During the session, a water membrane goes around your body, but you are able to keep clothed and not get wet.

According to the business, cold plunges have been found to boost muscle recovery, sharpen focus, and awaken the body's senses.

Infrared saunas on site are the first and only "three-in-one" devices that include near, mid, and far wavelengths. Drip highlights this therapy as one that can help regulate cortisol levels and lower systolic and diastolic blood pressure.

Shiftwave is a vibration-powered nervous system regulation device that is designed to feel like a cold reset of your mind and body. Stress reduction, a better ability to focus, and faster body recovery through better sleep have all been benefits traced back to Shiftwave therapy, according to Drip.
