Tonight's Council Meeting to Focus on Power Restoration Problems

City Administrator Chris Cotter will give a presentation about Office of Emergency Management efforts in the wake of Sandy.

Tonight's council meeting will have one major focus, according to council members and Mayor Ellen Dickson: power restoration problems. Expect a full house when the meeting kicks off at 7:30p.m. Residents will have a chance to address the 2-week power outage, as well as efforts to deal with Hurricane Sandy and its immediate  aftermath.

"We're devoting at least the first 1 1/2 hours to a presentation by Chris Cotter, our Office of Emergency Management Coordinator," said Common Council President Rich Madden, who was recently elected to another term in an uncontested election. "There will also be a representative from Union County present," he said.
