'Welcome Back Summit' Downtown Music, Business Festival Hits Streets This Weekend

SUMMIT, NJ - The City of Summit is celebrating the beginning of the fall months and a new school year this weekend with an outdoor music festival.

"Welcome Back Summit" brings more than two dozen businesses together from Friday, Sept. 5 through Sunday, Sept. 7 for limited-time deals on a variety of merchandise, including summer clearance and back-to-school specials. More than 10 locations across the city will also be hosting live music throughout the weekend:

Friday, Sept. 5, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Promenade - Rusty Monks
Starbucks - Next Stage Duo
Union Place - Broke & Busted
Maison 53 - Candice Lee
Horse Trough - The Frost Kings

Saturday, Sept. 6, from 10 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Due 360 - Kayka Duo
Zappia's - TBD
Starbucks - All These Things

Each participating store will also have its own special QR code to guide shoppers along a scavenger hunt collection of check-ins. Those who scan the codes will be entered into a drawing for a $250 Summit VISA gift card and other prizes from downtown businesses. Scanning more codes increases your chance of going home with a giveaway.
