You Can Pamper Your Pet At This 'Haven For Dogs' In Downtown Summit

SUMMIT, NJ — After 15 years of growing their business, Wonder Dog Studio in Summit is now moving locations to continue pampering the pets of Summit.

Jessica Valentino started Wonder Dog Studio with a dream of creating "a unique haven for dogs and their owners," according to a press release.

The studio announced they will be moving their business to the historic building located at The Strand, 447 Springfield Avenue, which was once a theater and most recently the men's clothing store Jos. A. Bank.

Wonder Dog was previously at located on Maple Street, which they have now overgrown.

According to the studio, the new building's three full floors have undergone an extensive renovation to create what is now Wonder Dog Studio's new 12,000 square-foot dog destination.

It features a daily dog day camp, behavioral training and modification specialists, all breed grooming, wellness therapy and a 3,000 square feet retail floor.

According to a recent report by the ASPCA, nearly 23 million American households — or 1 in 5 nationwide — have adopted a pet during the pandemic. Wonder Dog Studio says it's the place to go for those who want to pamper their pets.

U.S. pet market sales have increased every year for the past decade with revenue growing from $50.96 billion to nearly $109.5 billion, according to the studio. That trend is continuing in 2022 as informed dog parents seek high-end, quality products and professional grooming.

Now, as many begin to transition back to in-office work, Wonder Dog Studio says the need for reliable, trustworthy day care and behavior training is higher than ever.

The VIP opening party for Wonder Dog Studio is on Tuesday, June 14 from 6 to 9 p.m.
