Child Drowns In Teaneck Pool: Police

TEANECK, NJ — A young girl drowned in a swimming pool just after 6 p.m. on Sunday in Teaneck, a spokesperson for the Teaneck Police Department told Patch.

Officer performed CPR on the 7-year-old after pulling her out of the pool, which was rented out for a party, at the house on Westervelt Place, and she was taken to an area hospital, where she was pronounced dead, police said.

Police send their condolences to the family, and are investigating the incident, police said.
