Family Escapes Early Morning Blaze in Teaneck

Five people were hospitalized and two families forced from their homes after flames ripped through a house at the corner of Ester Avenue and Beverly Road early Saturday, according to witnesses and officials.

Senate Majority Leader Loretta Weinberg spoke in Teaneck Sunday to detail her support for a host of proposed gun regulations and faced opposition from gun rights advocates.

Teaneck’s school board is mulling a revised spending plan that includes outsourcing lunchroom and some classroom aides, axing two administrative positions and cuts to courtesy busing.

Paul Eisenman, a former journalist and public relations professional, who co-founded the Teaneck-based good-government group Bergen Grassroots died Sunday at 85, the Record reported. 

Officials will hold a gun buyback in April at locations across Bergen County, including at a Teaneck church, the sheriff's office announced Thursday.
