Holy Name Seeking Participants for Cancer Study
Local registration to take place next month

Holy Name Medical Center in Teaneck is seeking participants for a "historic" nationwide cancer study sponsored by the American Cancer Society.
The study, called CPS-3, will enroll a large population of up to half a million people across the country and in Puerto Rico.
At Holy Name Medical, enrollment will take place on April 16, 11:00 am – 2:30 pm and on April 17, 3 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. in the Marian Hall Conference Center, Conference Room 2.

"CPS-3 will give northern New Jersey residents an unprecedented opportunity to be involved in research that has the potential to change the face of cancer for future generations by helping us better understand the genetic, environmental and lifestyle factors that cause or prevent the disease," a press release from the hospital said.
Enrollment is open to men and women who meet the following criteria:

- Between 30 and 65 years old
- Have never been diagnosed with cancer (not including basal or squamous cell skin cancer)
- Are willing to make a long-term commitment to the study, which involves completing periodic follow-up surveys at home
