2 Dead, 1 Severely Hurt In Teaneck Multi-Vehicle Crash
A crash on the New Jersey Turnpike just after midnight on Wednesday left two passengers dead and another seriously injured.
TEANECK, NJ — Two passengers died and another was severely hurt in a multi-vehicle crash that occurred just after midnight Wednesday on the New Jersey Turnpike northbound in Teaneck, a New Jersey State Police spokesperson said.
Fatally injured passengers Cesarina Medrano, 57, of New York, and Ingris Tejada, 54, of New York, were riding in a Subaru Impreza traveling northbound, when the sedan was rear-ended by a Ram 3500. This caused the sedan and the heavy-duty truck to to enter the path of travel of another car and crash through a guardrail, the spokesperson said.
Another passenger in the Subaru, Jose Medrano, 39, of Bronx, was seriously injured in the crash, which occurred near milepost 120, the spokesperson said.

Additionally, several other occupants required extraction, and were removed and taken to area hospitals, a Teaneck Fire Department official said in an email.
State police continue to investigate the incident, the spokesperson said.
