Olympic Spotlight, Future for Historic Site, Volunteer Honored Tops Teaneck News

Olympic fencer Maya Lawrence, a Teaneck-native, will leave the London Olympics with one victory against Italy's Mara Navarria. 

Although the No. 24 ranked Lawrence lost Monday in the next round to Italian epee fencer No. 7 Rossella Fiamingo, her victory comes after she overcame serious injuries to reach London. She beat the No. 9 ranked Navarria. 

As a veteran Teaneck EMT, Angelae Wilkerson has rushed to the aid of countless patients when seconds count. Her volunteerism, however, reaches far beyond an ambulance, touching the lives of people from all walks of life across the area.

A 21-year-old Teaneck woman is facing assault and weapons charges after she allegedly struck a Bogota woman outside of  early Saturday morning with a glass mug.
