The Bergen County Animal Shelter always has pets available for adoption, some of which are featured here on Patch each week. Click through our photo gallery.
The shelter has also put a call out this week for volunteers to help raise baby kittens to help prepare them for shelter life as they are too young to adjust to this environment. These baby kittens need a temporary, loving, safe and quiet home to grow up in until they are ready for adoption.
Volunteers would be responsible for feeding, cleaning, socializing and possibly medicating animals in their own homes. When the animal is old or healthy enough it will be returned to the shelter for adoption.
