Swastika Found Outside Teaneck Home: Police
The anti-Semitic symbol was found propped up against a tree, police said.
TEANECK, NJ — A swastika was found outside of a Teaneck home Wednesday morning, police said.
A resident found a 3-inch piece of white cloth with a swastika on it leaning against a tree in front of a West Englewood Avenue home, said Chief Glenn O'Reilly.
Teaneck has high population of Jewish residents. Authorities are investigating the incident.

Police are also looking into who sprayed red paint on window frames and illegible writing on the sidewalk at The Humble Toast on Queen Anne Road Wednesday morning, O'Reilly said.
"The owner believes it may be a former disgruntled employee who was recently fired," O'Reilly said. "We do not believe these two incidents are related."

Swastikas have been found in several Bergen County towns within the past year.
Two were found at Glen Rock schools recently. One was found May 28 in a bathroom shared between the high school and middle school. Another was found etched into a classroom wall June 6.
Anti-Semitic and racist graffiti was found in a classroom at Emerson Junior-Senior High School, NJ.com reported.
A swastika was found in a stall in a girls' bathroom at Ridgewood High School late last year. Swastikas and a racial slur were etched into the partition walls in a bathroom at Pascack Valley High School.
