Teaneck Coronavirus: May Election Moved To Vote-By-Mail Format

Teaneck will not provide physical polling locations in the Tuesday, May 12, election.

TEANECK, NJ — This May, when Teaneck holds its municipal election, voters will not be able to go to the polls. Instead, the Township of Teaneck will conduct the entire election using mail-in ballots.

The election is set for May 12, but voters hoping to cast a ballot must be registered in advance. To register, visit this link, print out a voter registration form and and postmark and mail the form by April 21.

County clerks will send vote-by-mail ballots to all registered voters in the jurisdiction on or before April 24.

All registered voters will receive a vote-by-mail ballot, regardless of whether they applied to vote by mail. Voters must complete and mail postmarked ballots no later than May 12, and the ballots must be received by the Bergen County Board of Elections no later than 8 p.m. on May 14.
