TEANECK, NJ – A 27-year-old Teaneck man faces charges after authorities say he led them on a high speed chase on Route 80 over the weekend.

Mark Olszewski refused to stop when Hackensack Police Detective Sgt. John Dalton attempted to pull him over on Saturday afternoon and sped off in his Hyundai Tucson, weaving in and out of traffic, Hackensack Police Capt. Darrin DeWitt said.

After police identified Olszewski as the driver, they ended the chase “due to the risk to innocent motorists” and tracked him down at his Harding Avenue home instead, the captain said.
