Teaneck officials will host a special gathering next month to honor local volunteers, the township announced. The event will be held May 21 at 7 p.m. at the Teaneck High School Auditorium at 100 Elizabeth Avenue. The Township is asking all leaders of community volunteer groups to send an e-mail with their name, title, organization, telephone number and number of organization's volunteers who plan to attend to volrsvp@teanecknj.gov or call 201-837-1600 x. 1028. The information must be submitted no later than May 9. "The Township Council sincerely appreciates the service of our community volunteers and graciously wants to honor their organizations and these individuals who willingly give back to our Township," the town's announcement said.
