Traveling Nurse Says She's Sick, Stuck In Bergen County: Report
The North Carolina-based nurse told NBC New York she traveled 500 miles to work on the health care front lines before falling ill.
RUTHERFORD, NJ — A North Carolina-based nurse told NBC New York she traveled 500 miles to work in New Jersey's fight against the new coronavirus. She then fell ill and says she's received no no help from her employer.
The nurse, Ruby Ramoutar, told the news outlet she's now confined to her hotel room, relying on food delivery services and doing laundry in her hotel sink.
Ramoutar told NBC New York she has not been tested for the new coronavirus as of Friday, but she said agency officials called her Thursday to tell her they want to schedule her for a COVID-19 test soon.
