Week in Review: Man Shoots Himself Trying to Grab Gun, Charges in 'Road Rage' Death

Two sleeping residents were woken up by what sounded like an explosion early Thursday, only to find that a car had crashed through the front of their Fycke Lane home, authorities said.

A 32-year-old Teaneck man accidentally shot himself late Wednesday on Lindbergh Boulevard when a gun in his waistband slipped and he pulled the trigger trying to catch the weapon, according to police.

A 63-year-old Teaneck woman was the victim of a fatal two-vehicle crash on the Garden State Parkway Sunday and two drivers have been charged in her death, state police said.

Underground utility work part of a project to service in the Teaneck-area is expected to begin Thursday in the township, according to Public Service Electric and Gas.
