Manhattan Borough president wants to reinstate 0.45 percent tax on New Jersey residents abolished in 1999.

Teaneck residents who commute into New York City could end up paying a tax for doing so if the Manhattan Borough president has his way.

Scott Stringer wants to reinstate a 0.45 percent tax taken from the salaries of workers who don't live in New York City, projected to generate $725 million annually.
