The trailer had been used to store items for the local youth football program, Toms River Schools Superintendent Michael Citta said.

TOMS RIVER, NJ — A fire destroyed a storage trailer on the grounds of Toms River High School East over the weekend, officials said Monday.

Toms River Regional Schools Superintendent Michael Citta said the fire was in a trailer used to store items for the Toms River Warriors, the American Youth Football program for Toms River residents.

"Nothing that was in there was usable," Foti said, adding the program had turned the trailer over to the school district for the grounds crew to use.

"We have a mobile trailer we use now," Foti said.
