Alex Tweed: Sika Corporation Lakewood Operations is a High Quality Sealant and Adhesive manufacturing company in Lakewood NJ. We make products for Home Depot, Andersen and other large manufacturers. Our products can be found in windows and doors, renewable energy, building components, marine and more.

Patch: How long have you been doing business in town, or how long has your organization been around in the community?
Tweed: 12 Years
Patch: What attracted you to the line of work you’re in, and how did you get started?
Tweed: I started with Sika over 9 years ago as a Preventive Maintenance Specialist. Working with an amazing team at Sika has allowed me get to where I am.

Patch: If you had to sum up your business mission to a stranger in five words, what would those words be?
Tweed: Safe Production of High Quality Sealants
Patch: What’s the biggest challenge or most difficult moment you’ve faced in your job?
Tweed: Reaching the people we need to fill our open positions.
Patch: What’s the most satisfying part of your job?
Tweed: Working with the amazing team we have in Lakewood and company wide to provide our customers with amazing products. We are breaking records and we are having fun.
Patch: How would you say your business or organization distinguishes itself from the others?
Tweed: We work with our customers to find or make products that fit their needs. The Lakewood team is a diverse group that works and has fun at the same time.
Patch: What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given when it comes to success?
Tweed: Can't is a not a option — it is a 4-letter word. Working together we can achieve our goals one step at a time.
